City Camping? Who are ya?

We are a company that provides a temporary (but brilliant) campsite for gig- goers coming to the MK Bowl in Milton Keynes. We've established a great reputation over the years with sell-out sites when Foo Fighters & Swedish House Mafia fans enjoyed fantastic weekends. The feedback said it all. When is the campsite open?

Our campsite is ONLY open to support gigs at Milton Keynes Bowl. We are not open for the rest of the year, not even if you plead with us. We are here to accommodate some of the 65,000 people coming to The Bowl who might otherwise have to kip in a bush.

Is the Campsite Secure?

You bet. Security is our top priority. We have big old security fencing to keep you and your tent safe, especially when you are at the concert. Our security team are a constant reassuring presence on site and we try to get the 'big friendly giant' ones who are approachable (and will pick you up when you fall over a guy rope). We do suggest that you do not leave valuable items in your tent though. That's just silly.

What facilities do you have on site?

We've got the lot: - Hot running water - Lots of toilets, split into gents and ladies - Electric points - First Aiders - Onsite Food van - The City Camping Hut - offering snacks, water, mobile phone charging, taxi numbers, tent-finding assistance and a friendly chat thrown in.

Is parking available on-site?

Yes, parking is available to cars only in our secure car park. For safety reasons, you cannot drive onto the campsite; however, it's only next to the site. There is an additional charge of £4 per day (24hrs) for parking and you can reserve this at the time of booking then pay the man when you arrive.

What is the atmosphere like on the site?

We want our guests to have a stonking weekend with us and we aim to create a fun, festival feel at our site. Nonetheless we have a no drugs and nuisance behaviour policy and work with the police to enforce this. We ask that you respect fellow guests.

Where can i buy food?

You can bring your own food and cook it on a raised barbecue or gas camping stove. Or you can buy cooked food on-site at one of our catering vans. Snacks, soft drinks and bottled water can also be purchased from The Hut. Please note that we do not sell alcohol on-site. There is a big Tesco at the Kingston centre just 5 minutes drive away and you are welcome to enjoy a drink under the shade of the poplar trees!
